Spider Vein Treatment targets those annoying, though typically painless small purple or red blood vessels that can be seen under the skin. Spider Veins may pop up in many very visible areas of the body such as at the legs and are usually hereditary. Many people feel self-conscious of these unsightly spider veins, especially when the warmer months approach and we want to wear less clothes, but don’t want to necessarily expose those spider veins to the world.
There are two traditional treatment methods for treating Spider Veins. Sclerotherapy uses a small needle through which the doctor injects what is a called a “sclerosing” chemical into the blood vessel. The schlerosing chemical causes the walls of the vein to close and will gradually make them disappear permanently. This virtually painless treatment usually lasts around 30 minutes. The other treatment method is achieved through the use of Laser Technology. The laser sends strong bursts of light into the vein causing them to slowly fade away.
